Jacques Bermon Webster I, born April 30, 1990, also called Travis Scott (formerly Travi$ Scott), is an American rapper and singer. His stage name is a fusion of the name a loved uncle and the initials of Kid Cudi (whose real identity is Scott Mescudi), Scott signed his debut major-label contract in 2012, with Epic Records. In April of 2013, Scott signed joint-recording agreements with Epic and T.I. T.I.'s Grand Hustle imprint. Scott's first project of full length, Owl Pharaoh (mixtape) self-released in 2013. In 2013 Scott released the mixtape on his own Owl Phaoh. A second mixtape, Days Before Rodeo was released in 2014. Rodeo (2015) was his debut studio album. It included the smash track "Antidote". The album that followed entitled Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016) was his first top-ranked album on the Billboard 200. Scott released his second album together with Quavo, Huncho Jack Huncho (2016). The album is the third album he had recorded with Astroworld. He also produced his first Billboard Hot 100 #1 single, "Sicko Mode" which featured Drake. Scott's Cactus Jack Records album JackBoys was released on the Billboard 200 in late 2019. After the single "Franchise", Scott (featuring Young Thug) and M.I.A. were released, it reached the top spot on the Billboard 200. Scott was the first Hot 100 artist to have three songs debut at the number one spot in less than a decade in 2020.
